I am a post-doctoral research fellow in Caleb Phillips' lab at Texas Tech University. I also earned a Bachelor’s from Texas Tech University, my Master's at Texas State University, and PhD at Mississippi State University.
I have general interests in evolutionary biology and genomics. As part of my PhD work, I explored the interactions between small RNAs and transposable elements, as well as the evolution of gene families. As a postdoc, I'm evaluating the role of adaptation and convergence in the evolution of a diverse family, the leaf nose bats (Phyllostomidae).
